AIST is short for Applied Information Systems and Technologies and AIST programs are for students seeking a degree focused on developing and implementing state of the practice information systems solutions.
Augusta State also offers programs in MIS (Management Information Systems) and CS (Computer Science) but our AIST programs offer alternatives. CS focuses on computers and software as an object of study and MIS is concerned with leveraging information systems for business advantage. AIST emphasizes solutions and their development.
