GENERAL ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must submit a completed application form with a non-refundable fee of U.S. $30.00 to the MBA Office.
- Applicants must submit documents showing that they have completed the equivalent of a United States college (four-year) diploma.
- Applicants are required to take the Graduate Management Admission Test as an entrance examination. This test is administered at testing centers world-wide. You may register for the GMAT test online at www.mba.com.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR APPLICANTS COMPLETING COLLEGE OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES
- International applicants must provide an indication of proficiency in the English language. Generally, this is done by scoring a minimum of 79-80 on the internet based, or 213 on the computer based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), and having those scores sent to the MBA Office for admission consideration. Listed below is the source inside the U.S. for information on this test. Other indications include completion of four-year college education in English speaking countries. In these cases, no TOEFL is required. International applicants should be aware that Augusta State University offers no courses in English as a foreign language.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR APPLICANTS WHO REQUIRE STUDENT VISAS
- International applicants who plan to apply for an F-1 visa are required by the U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service to provide the university with a financial statement and supporting documents of financial ability for the first year of study before an I-20 can be issued. Two original sets of supporting documents should be obtained. Attach one set to this application and use the other when applying for a visa at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. In addition to supporting documents, the applicant and parents or sponsors must complete and sign the "Sources of Funds" section of the Financial Statement. If this portion of your application is incomplete, we will not be able to complete your file.
- Because international students cannot be considered residents of the state of Georgia, they are subject to non-resident fees, and they will not receive U.S. federal, or state financial aid, or Augusta State University academic scholarships. They will have very limited opportunities for legal employment in the U.S., subject to the approval of the International Student Advisor. Therefore, they may not include funds from U.S. financial aid sources, Augusta State University academic scholarships, or any possible employment in the U.S. in their Financial Statement. Listed below are the approximate expenses students will incur each academic year. Please note that these are subject to change at the end of any semester.

In addition to those listed above, international applicants should be prepared to pay for return transportation home, and to secure additional funds in case of emergency.
- If academically eligible, international applicants will also be required to remit a non-refundable tuition deposit of U.S. $2,000.00 by bank check payable to Augusta State University before an acceptance letter and I-20 are issued by the university. The following guidelines apply to the tuition deposit:
Students who are receiving institutional support (athletic scholarships, etc.), students participating in formal exchange programs, or students sponsored by recognized international education organizations such as Rotary Club are exempt from this policy.
If a student is denied a student visa and provides evidence to that effect, the tuition deposit will be refunded.
Students who receive a student visa and enter the United States, but do not matriculate for the semester to which they were admitted forfeit their deposit.
When a tuition deposit is received, we will forward official notification that your deposit is on file at ASU, along with your I-20 and letter of acceptance. We believe that evidence of a tuition deposit will assist you in acquiring a student visa.
STUDENT VISAS
International applicants who complete all steps listed above, and are accepted to Augusta State University will be issued an I-20 form by the Director of Admissions. With this document, the student may apply for a student visa. Because changing from a tourist visa to a student visa inside the U.S. is rarely allowed, international students are strongly urged to secure a student visa in their home countries.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT EMPLOYMENT IN THE U.S.
International students on student visas are generally not allowed off-campus employment in the U.S. Exceptions include certain employment which is directly related to the student's major course of study, authorized by the Foreign Student Advisor, and limited in time span. Therefore, international students should not expect to offset the cost of their studies with compensation earned in the U.S. International students may not include such compensation in their statement of financial ability.

International students who desire further information are encouraged to write the MBA Office at the address listed below. Because of considerable shipping cost, college catalogs will not be mailed outside the U.S.; however, the catalog information is available on the university web site www.aug.edu/registrar_va/catalog/cover.htm.
